Download v0.41.001 / The awakening
NYX wakes with no history, no instructions, and a body assembled from what a forgotten world left behind.
Move through ruined facilities and hostile streets. Scavenge tools. Read the systems that survived their makers. Decide what to preserve, what to break, and whether the purpose buried inside you deserves to continue.
“Awaken in the ruins. Rebuild yourself. Discover why you were left behind.”
02 / The game
Explore a tactile, decaying world where attention matters more than waypoints and small discoveries change how you understand NYX.
Traverse layered industrial spaces, neglected alleys, buried rooms, and the machinery between them.
Find objects, tools, and fragments of context. What looks useless may be exactly what gets you through.
Recorded character dialogue, mechanical movement, and environmental sound make the empty world feel inhabited.
The full game is being built around discovery, consequence, and a protagonist learning beyond their original design.

The creator
NYX Protocol: Awakening is created by George Matthew Griffin, an independent designer and developer in San Antonio, Texas. The project combines interactive storytelling, world design, original systems, sound, and a stubborn belief that small games can leave a large impression.
